At Express Timber, we aim to deliver your order quickly and efficiently.
Our standard delivery time is 1–3 working days from the date your order is processed.
If you require delivery on a specific day, please contact us in advance to check availability.
Once your order has been confirmed, we’ll email you a confirmation including your estimated delivery week.

Delivery Charges by Location

We deliver orders by road throughout England within our regular service area at flat-rate delivery charges per drop:

• Grantham – £10.00
• Sleaford – £15.00
• Newark-on-Trent – £15.00
• Melton Mowbray – £20.00
• Stamford – £25.00
• Oakham – £25.00
• Spalding – £30.00
• Leicester – £30.00
• Nottingham – £30.00
• Lincoln – £30.00
• Peterborough – £35.00

If your postcode falls outside our standard delivery area, please contact us for a custom delivery quotation.
We also deliver to Wales and London – simply email our team with your postcode and the products you need for a tailored quote.

Delivery & Charges

Delivery charges vary by postcode and are non-refundable unless the goods arrive damaged or faulty. We always strive to provide affordable, reliable delivery for all timber, concrete and garden products.

How Do We Deliver

We typically deliver using our own vehicles, ranging from 3-tonne flatbed trucks to articulated lorries.

Our products, such as timber, fencing, sleepers and decking, are unloaded by hand or forklift – please ensure there is sufficient access and space for safe unloading. If access to your property is restricted, please notify our team in advance. For safety reasons, we cannot place goods inside sheds, garages, or through properties. Deliveries are made kerbside only, or to the nearest safe area accessible to our driver. Standard deliveries include one member of the Express Timber team. Our drivers will make every reasonable effort to place your goods as close as possible to your desired location. If the delivery point is not secure, please contact our transport team at info@expresstimber.co.uk to arrange a suitable delivery time when someone can receive the goods.

Delivery Timescales

We aim to deliver your order within 1–3 working days of acceptance.
If you have a specific deadline, please contact our team at info@expresstimber.co.uk before placing your order. We recommend not scheduling installation or fitting until your items have been delivered.

Do You Need to Be Home?

You don’t necessarily need to be present when we deliver – we can leave the goods in a safe location if authorised.
Please note that ownership and responsibility for the goods transfer to you once delivery has been completed at your property.

Delivery Notifications

We’ll notify you of your expected delivery date and time by email. If you cannot receive your delivery after notification, please inform us as soon as possible via info@expresstimber.co.uk to rearrange.
